Taking the skills learned from the trials of the Secret Wars, me and Krishna landed a commission through Bacardi with a bar in Bournemouth called ‘Sherbet Lounge’. Although this was a great opportunity, this was also a huge job to complete - drawing over an entire air vent system throughout the floor plan.

The buzzword was ‘retro’ and I had creative flow over whatever I drew - deciding on a computer game/films/gadgets theme… Highlights included a giant Star Wars battle and a timeline of iconic shoes - which sparked a craze of slinging sneakers over power lines across the town ;)

And so the Tech Moon adventure continued and I found myself, with much credit to Krishna, enrolled into the ‘Secret Wars Euro League’ team in Bournemouth. This was basically a far more advanced version of the Moon Street format - in which international artists were involved in regional battles - again over 90 minute battles.

The whole league was sponsored by giants such as Casio, Reebok, Flip cameras and Edding Paint Pens. I even got to travel to far flung places such as Birmingham and Porto to have a great time creating black and white artworks.

Continuing the Tech Moon/Moon Street vibe the work continued to flow through 2010 - including a collaboration with iconic lamp producers Anglepoise and a brief showing live at Cargo in London.

More collaborative work followed in 2010 with Technicolour Moon opening up an event in Bournemouth called ‘Moon Street’ at both the Winchester Pub and the Orange Rooms - at which artists competed against each other in short 90 minute ‘battles’ using only black and white. I was involved from the start and began to get creative!

Well the journey began when me and my friend Krishna Malla decided to set up a creative called Technicolour Moon down in Bournemouth, and it was Krishna’s p[passion for live art that provided a drive to move the artwork to murals and graffiti. Here was the first collaborative Tech Moon effort at the Firestation in Bournemouth.

And so it begins…a modest collection of recent commissions that I have completed outside of a sketchbook or a computer…
